The Typical Scenario

Have you ever been in a relationship where there was little no trust, perhaps cheating was involved? One of those situations that you shouldn't have been in and you kept telling yourself you deserved better? I know this has happened to me and I KNOW there are so many women (and men) who have been wronged in one way or another.

Cheating is one of those things that just happens sometimes (I guess). It's not preventable...I feel like EVERYONE will be cheated on at least once. Whether you find out about it or not is a different story. It's funny, because as I am typing this blog, "Creep" by TLC just came on VH1 Soul. Songs, books and even reality shows circle around the act of cheating. People give advice on what to do if it happens to you or even how to prevent it from happening to you in the first place (like there is really a cut in stone method for something like that). I guess it makes people feel good to think they have the answers...even though they really don't.

Nonetheless, this video More Than Love by Amerie featuring Fabolous depicts a woman who is frustrated by her boyfriend. She has no trust for him...and she says that she needs MORE than love to make the relationship work. She is even contemplating leaving him....that is until he gives her the keys to a brand new ride. From her face and her reaction to the gift, you could tell she wasn't going anywhere. But ladies...is this really all you need when it comes to mending a relationship? It happens so many times and it caught my eye that it was portrayed in this video. How can you so upset and disgusted one minute in reaction to the actions of your partner (including but not limited to cheating, verbal abuse, physical abuse and other actions that devalue you) but as soon as he shines a big rock in your face or a new car or a wad of cash...all of the sudden the dirt that he's done has been swept under the rug?????

Obviously, my thoughts are that even with the new fur coat or benz in the driveway...the relationship isn't salvaged! Money doesn't make you love somebody more or less! You might love the life you're able to live because of the money, or you may love the money itself...but someone hanging money in your face isn't gonna make them a better husband (or wife)...it's not gonna make them less abusive....it's not gonna make that beer belly look slimmer...it's not gonna make them stop cheating. It might make you care less about those other things...but that's just a band-aid. Get to the root cause of the problem and nip it in the bud. Peace.

Can the money, fame and the fans really make a person stupid is as stupid does?  Well, celebs like Lindsey Lohan has proven this thought to be true several times.  In her latest stint with stupid, she apparently was involved with a hitting a BABY STROLLER with her Maserati.  Yes, you just read what you thought you did!  How do you go from excessive drinking, DUI's, missing court dates, jail time (kind of), expressing how bad you want to get your life together and then you're running babies over in the middle of the day.  I don't know what you guys are feeling, but all I want to know is....WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING LiLo?  I know she is in my prayers....that girl needs Jesus!  I mean...can't you stay out of trouble for more than a week?????  I'm just sayin'....

Kanye West - POWER CRAZY??

Now although this is just a "preview" of the official music video for Power, I would LOVE to know what Kanye was thinking with this concept.  Making songs like Jesus Walks, does this video implicate him envisioning himself as God now?  I would love to hear your thoughts on this...

Dear Tiny & T.I....What the HELL were you thinking?

With a new movie out Takers, a new bride and the upcoming release of his seventh album, King Uncaged...you would think Clifford "T.I" Harris Jr. would be humble with his accomplishments and stay low key.  Especially seeing he was just released from prison earlier this year for pleading guilty to attempting to purchase machine guns and silencers last year.  But nooooooooooo.  Now, him and his wife, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle may be sharing a cell together.  They were both arrested in West Hollywood for drug possession after police smelled the aroma of marijuana seeping through the car.  What the HELL were y'all thinking???  Doesn't he realize that he's on probation for 3 years and a silly stunt like this will get his a** thrown back in jail faster than the time it took for the JetBlue guy to slide down that emergency slide?  I have come to the realization that talent is not needed to be successful in this industry...but it seems like jail time is...(when it comes to rappers anyway).  At least if you're gonna do some dumb s**t like that, do it in the comfort of your home...not while operating a vehicle, outside in the public where there is a good chance you'd get pulled over.  Common sense man....common sense:: smh ::
